Jan Van Eyck is one of the most famous primitive Flemish painters of the 15th century. He stands out above all other painters by his realism which borders on perfection.

Since 2018, to the delight of art lovers and specialists, works by the painter are available online. It is the result of titanic work. Art historians from the Flemish Primitive Study Center of the Royal Institute for Artistic Heritage (IRPA) in Brussels, their colleagues from the image department and the Musea Brugge / Kenniscentrum have worked hard to carry out this project. It was also praised by the 2019 Europa Nostra award.
