The Nigerian-Belgian Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) hosted an executive roundtable and B2B networking session at VCP Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on 16 September 2026, held in honour of Mr Hans Van Der Steen, Head of the Fibre Cement Division at Etex Group, during his visit to Etex’s Nigerian operations, Nigerite Limited and Emenite Limited. The session centred on the theme “Building the Future: Fibre Cement Solutions for Nigeria’s Construction and Housing Sector.”
The event brought together senior Belgian and Nigerian business leaders for a focused conversation on innovative fibre cement solutions and their role in advancing Nigeria’s construction and housing sector, followed by structured networking to encourage direct commercial engagement between attendees.
Reflecting on the session, one attendee from Etex noted that what stood out most was the value of the conversations and relationships built through the event, adding that unlocking the opportunities ahead for the industry will take continued collaboration and strong partnerships.
The roundtable reinforced NBCC’s role in facilitating high-level dialogue between Nigerian and Belgian enterprises, and reflects the Chamber’s continued commitment to platforms that translate cross-border relationships into practical commercial opportunities.
