Both companies since have nearly half a century of experience in aviation. Thanks to their recent strategic alliance, the new group of aircraft manufacturers, such as Airbus and Boeing, will be able to offer an unprecedented package of development and production capabilities for civil and military applications in European aerospace. There will be close technological, industrial and commercial cooperation, although in-house expertise will remain the core focus. Spearheads for the expanded Sonaca group are decarbonising air transportation and playing a bigger role in the ever-growing European defence industry.
The alliance marks a decisive step toward consolidating the European aerostructures sector.
